I'm a Canadian Dene artist. The Rocky Mountains, the wide sky, the shifting seasons — they raised me as much as anything else did.My art celebrates all of it: the landscape, the animal beings, the ancestral homeland that shapes everything I make. Bold, graphic, and full of life.Welcome to my visions.

My portfolio is a record of a journey — one that follows in the footsteps of my Dene ancestors through Banff, Calgary, the BC coast, and Ontario. Everywhere I go, I listen. The land speaks, the animals teach, and I do my best to carry those lessons into my work.Digital painting lets me translate that spiritual conversation into bold colour and graphic form — art that is emotional, intuitive, and alive with the joy of simply paying attention.I'm always adding new additions so check back for more artwork.Every artwork is original and made entirely by me. In a world of generated images, I believe deeply in the authenticity of human creativity — and that will never change. All rights reserved. ©Shelly Lawton
